Sorry for how slow I am to swatch/update this blog. If you're a fan of my facebook page then you have already seen the two polishes that I am about to show you here. I will try and get the other two swatched sometime this week, but I can't promise anything. The weather here has been pretty overcast and my nails keep breaking! Also, I'm very busy with something secret, so that's taking up some of my time too. But I digress! Let me show you two glitter polishes from Shimmer Polish. Let's start with Vivian.
Vivian is a gorgeous glitter polish with brown, copper, and blue glitter pieces. It builds very well so it can be worn alone or as a semi-opaque topcoat. I paired it with a copper shimmer polish that I made myself. Vivian has a light brown base color too it as well. It's somewhat of a jelly but I really wouldn't call it a jelly polish. Whatever it is doesn't really matter. I chose this polish because I love how she made brown look so beautiful.
Up next is Cassandra (which has its own dedicated blog post, so I won't be offended if you skip over this). This one was really hard to photograph because of the lack of sunlight, for which I apologize. Cassandra is a beautiful pearl/white glitter topcoat. This does not build very well, so I would recommend layering it over white or another light color (I might try it with a soft pink next time!) This polish is cool because it kind of has a different effect depending on what color is underneath. In this photo you can see some pink and yellow flecks in the glitter. I've seen it under a white polish and the colors that come out are more in the blue family (the same is true if you're patient enough to wear it without any undies). I really love this color. It's so delicate. It looks almost bridal in how sweet it is.
I have two other polishes to swatch from Shimmer Polish, one being a custom she made just for me and my shop (which I'm going to start running on this blog first). I can't wait to see what the custom looks like on the nail. I'm so insane for not trying it out yet! Thanks for reading.
